2400199 – Forschungstrends in der Mensch-Maschine-Interaktion
Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is a continuously evolving, interdisciplinary field that explores the dynamic relationship between humans and technology. This includes, among other things, the study of user behavior, cognitive processes, human abilities and needs, and interaction interfaces. The goal is to understand and improve user experiences and interface designs. The continuous advancement of technology increasingly opens up diverse possibilities for interaction between humans and machines. Therefore, a forward-looking understanding of HCI is particularly important. In this seminar, we will explore current research trends in HCI. By engaging with these topics, you will gain insights into the challenges and opportunities in the areas of interface design, user experience (UX), and human-computer interaction. You will also improve your skills in producing academic work. The seminar requires the preparation of a position paper in which you analyze a topic of your choice, present the current state of research, and discuss potential research gaps. You will present your work in a lecture at the end of the semester to your fellow students and your supervisors. During the semester, your supervisors will be available in regular office hours for feedback and questions.
