2189465 – Reaktorsicherheit I: Grundlagen
This lecture deals with the fundamentals of reactor safety developed to design and license any reactor type. It discusses the safety concepts and principles to prevent any kind of incidents and accidents in Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs). An overall goal is to understand the physical involved in accidental sequences with release of radioactive material into the environment. How the behavior of NPPs under accidental conditions can be described with the help of numerical simulation tools is also explained and demonstrated with different examples.
