6111283 – Die Geoökologie des Weinbaus
The course uses the wine sector as an exemplar of human-environment interactions including plant ecophysiology, land use systems, production processes, and perceptions related to the final product. The wine sector is especially useful in this context since it is very sensitive to environmental and economic conditions. Hence, the course would also explore the impacts of environmental change on the sector and the options that are available to adapt to these impacts. There will be an excursion to a local winery, combined with lectures and student exercises.
