4022011 – Astroparticle Physics I: Dark Matter
The lecture series will provide an overview of experimental Astroparticle Physics, an exciting new research field at the intersection of several disciplines, where KIT is a major player worldwide. We cover fundamentals of the field and also highlight the latest breakthroughs. The focus is on the search for Dark Matter, other topics include cosmic rays and in particular also neutrino physics. This typically involves the search for very rare processes beyond the Standard Model of Particle Physics where modern technologies play a key role.
