SS 2022

This is the lecture series on energy subjects, which are related to the Topics of the KIT Graduate School "Enabling Net Zero" - ENZo (www.enzo.kit.edu) with a focus on sector coupling and circular economy. The aim is to provide a broader and more holistic view of the energy system with its complex interactions. Hence, the lectures offer basic insights into very different topics, such as specific technologies, economic aspects as well as the role of humans in the energy system. Though the lecture is primarily tailored to ENZo's doctoral researchers, interested master students and doctoral researchers of all faculties are cordially invited to attend.

Comprehensible communication in interdisciplinary research: Scientific disciplines tend to have their specific technical languages, often causing misunderstanding or miscomprehension between researchers. To nevertheless have a productive exchange of ideas with your colleagues from different fields, we will practice some tools and strategies for making your specialist knowledge accessible even for non-experts.

Principles of creative team-work: Interdisciplinary research flourishes when scientists from different fields share their ideas freely. In this workshop, we will examine some of the obstacles to open dialogues among scientists and consider specific strategies that allow you to work together openly and productively, realising the creative potential residing within your group.
