2308454 – Radar Systems Engineering

Allgemeine Informationen

Wichtige Informationen
Based on electromagnetic field theory, the lecture teaches the radar principles and system technology. An insight radar systems and hardware is given and processing techniques are presented. Relevant radar types (CW, FM-CW, pulse, etc.) are covered. Noise sources and modelling is described. Antennas and beamforming as relevant for the understanding are addressed. The system technology for digital beamforming radars is dealt with. The reflective properties of radar targets are analyzed for their classification. In this lecture, students learn how system technology contributes to the implementation of a radar system.
