2117050 – Automation and Autonomy in Logistics

The course provides application-oriented knowledge on automated- and autonomous systems in logistics. The focus is on technologies such as mobile robots, humanoid robots, AI and control systems. The lecture is supplemented by practical exercises and impulses from industry in the form of guest lectures by companies. In a creative group exercise, students develop concepts for integrating autonomous/automated systems into logistics processes and evaluate their feasibility. In addition, participants program their own applications, which are then tested on real robots. The aim is to convey a deep understanding of the possibilities and limits of modern robotics in logistics and to gain practical experience with automated systems.
