Lecture in English: Laser technology is a cutting-edge field with a wide range of applications. This course covers innovative laser processes, including cutting, welding and structuring in the micro- and nanometer range in theory and with practical examples from current research projects with a particular focus on lithium-ion battery production. The students are equipped with comprehensive tools to independently evaluate, design, and optimize a process. The laser group at KIT is the only one that provides such extensive training on the use of state-of-the-art beam sources in battery production in an application-oriented manner.
