The course aims to provide a comprehensive exploration of the geo-ecology of food systems and food security globally for the past, present and potential future, putting a special focus on humans in geo-ecological systems. A mix of talks, student activities and discussions will address both supply and demand issues for food production and its distribution. This includes the management and economics of agricultural systems as well as global trade, agricultural policy, consumption patterns and environmental impacts.
