The course provides a comprehensive exploration of the geo-ecology of food systems and food security globally for the past, present and potential future. A mix of lectures and student exercises address supply and demand issues for food production and its distribution, global trade, agricultural policy, and environmental impacts. This includes the management and economics of agricultural systems as well as consumption patterns and human nutritional well-being.
