2312717 – Superconducting Materials Part I
Superconducting materials are not only the foundation of basic experiments in physics and technical applications in the field of medicine, magnets for basic science, ultra sensitive sensors and electronics, but the ceramic High Temperature Superconductors (HTSC) open also exciting opportunities in the classical field of power applications. Within this lecture series I will give a broad overview about the basic properties of classical, modern and „exotic“ superconducting materials, as well as the different ways to synthesize and characterize them using modern synthesis methods and nanotechnology (as bulk material, thin film or practical wire).
