External Lecturer
- All external lecturers receive a GuP account (guests and partners) at KIT.
- Your GuP account consists of two letters and four numbers (e.g. ab1234)
- Owners of a GuP account have different permissions. You can find more detailed information about this here.
What to do if you have forgotten your password?
- If you still know your current password you can change it in Self Service Portal.
- If you do not know your current password please contact the SCC Service Desk and have a new password set. Since this can only be done by showing your identity card, you must visit the SCC Service Desk in person. It is important that you follow the corona rules that are signposted.
What do I need to get a GuP account?
You should already have received your GuP account from your institute's IT representative. If this is not yet the case, then go to the section "How do I get a GuP account?"
How do I get a GuP account?
To obtain a GuP account, send an e-mail to your responsible IT representative. You should then receive an e-mail with your login data. (The e-mail address in the example is only a sample. You need the individual address of your IT representative)
Tip: If you do not know who your responsible IT representative is, you should ask your supervisor at the institute about this or send an e-mail to the responsible secretary's office.
How do I log into KIT-ILIAS?
Important information before the initial login!
Before you can log on to a KIT platform, e.g. ILIAS, you have to activate your KIT account. For this purpose you have to log in under https://my.scc.kit.edu/aktivierung and set a new password. Now all platforms relevant for you should be activated.
- You visit the page ilias.studium.kit.edu .
- Then click on the field "Anmelden" (Login) in the upper right corner.
- Now click on "KIT-Konto" (Login with KIT account).
- Then enter your login data.
- Finally click on the field "Einloggen" (Login).
